CREATIVITY PROJECT - DAY 2 Second day of the creativity project i am doing with Katie, and i have to say it was a tough one!! Based on what Katie created on her day 1 (beaugilly.wordpress/2014/09/02/creativity-project-day-one/) , i use this to inspire todays piece. I spent ages trying to come up with an idea I finally considered why the little girl might be alone amongst the trees, and i thought that maybe its because she feels like they understand her. She is young, and trees, they feel old and wise! Maybe she feels judged, maybe she feels misunderstood and just wants to get away form all the pressure. Then I remembered a poem I wrote a couple years ago, called The Madness Of Trees and I decided to make a video incorporating this poem and footage of trees, I also created a simple piece of music to go with it. In making this things went wrong, one after another, and it was a trial, Im not really so happy with the end result, but the point of the project is to produce - so here it is produced!!!! Seems that facebook has messed with the quality of this - sorry about that. here is the poem though The Madness Of Trees The trees have a madness of their own; swaying maniacal tendrils as if to flick away the harassment of radio waves from their faces. How could we understand them? It is impossible! These solid blooded statues, always creating and destroying the same art, over and over. They are mad, we conclude. They just can not be understood.
