CRIME ALERT: On Friday 31 October 2014 our Man Tracking Unit responded to a housebreaking complaint at a security estate. With the cooperation of the complainant we managed to identify the location of a stolen iphone. Two armed response units were dispatched to the location. A suspect was located by our officers and found to be in possession of the stolen phone as well as an ipad, which the complainant was not even aware had been stolen. The suspect, identified as Warren October was arrested and detained at Kirstenhof SAPS. A follow up at the suspects home address, situated at 17 Lynx Way in Westlake, resulted in the recovery of 3 stolen cameras. Kirstenhof police have confirmed that the above address is a well known drug house and a place where stolen property is fenced. This suspect was out on bail for being in possession of stolen property when our officers arrested him.
