CRITICAL MASS NAIROBI: Im a daily cyclist commuter in Nairobi and trying to organize the first ever Critical Mass Nairobi, which is an adaptation of the original event in San Francisco. Its a cycling event that takes place on the last Friday of the month and seeks to achieve the critical number of cyclists on the road, such that cyclists are the majority, more that the motorists. It also has environmental and health connotations to it and essentially involves cycling while holding messages that advocate for a cycling culture. Since its the first ever Critical Mass in Nairobi, Im keen to start it off, even if its with a small crowd, and grow it from there. Would anyone be keen on taking part? And would you happen to know other cyclists who would be keen on taking part? Its a free event that brings together cyclist for active citizenship and advocating for a cyclist culture in Nairobi. The first Critical Mass will be this Friday, the 28th, from 5pm to 7pm. Let me know via inbox before then if itll be possible. Cheers.
