CROXTON RAMBLE Brilliant days walking.....terrible rain first thing, wondering if we should go, but Wow the weather got better as the day went on. 7.7 miles today in some more of our beautiful countryside. We got to see so many sights. Making our way up around Bishops Woods....described as The Hell Hole, because of some medieval goings on. We stopped for a coffee break here amongst the stone Cattle before walking through the woods past the strange carved Lady, then on up to see the ancient Glass House.....we also got to have a play on Cheswardine Chimes. From here we crossed fields of Cattle climbing high up the hillside, stopping for Lunch on the top. The scenery here is breathtaking how lucky are we continuing over Winter wheat fields around the Church yard joining the road to be Buzzed by a Chinook Helicopter. Left now across the parkland with the Tudor Mansion, Broughton Hall In the distance. From here we made our way back to our starting point. Thanks Vivienne McDonald for a great day out đź‘Ť
