“CRUISING BRINGS CULTURAL HARMONY AND IS THE EASIEST WAY TO TRAVEL” by expert cruise planner Sumeer Walia Founder & CEO CRUISE ROVER. MY LIFE ON BOARD: Imagine a new day on a New place, Imagine to see 7 countries in 10-12 days. Friends, I have been a Cruise Rover who had an opportunity to Cruise over 100 cruises, I am happy to share that cruising is all about fun, leisure, luxury and a Mondaine way to travel. These Big Boats are as big as small cities with Parks, multiple swimming pools & whirlpools, Rock Climbing walls, open air & indoor theaters, Casinos, Malls, Jogging Tracks, Indian Food, Mini Golf ranges. Restaurants as big as accommodating 1000 persons in one sitting. When I finished my training in Miami as a Cruise ships Photographer, I was asked to join Royal Caribbean Internationals Cruise Ship “ THE GRANDEUR OF THE SEAS” as the name suggests, it was actually grandeur with over 916 ft of length and 105 ft of Beam, over 2400 guests, a Phantom boat. I felt as if I just stepped into a five star hotel which is about to float into the Grandeur ocean. It was an experience working on wonderful Royal Caribbean Beauty that carried over 2400 guests and about a 1000 crew members. Thanks to the Boat which made me travel to different corners on this Timeless earth. On the Grandeur I did, Caribbean, US, Mexico, Europe and British Virgin Islands. On cruise ships, you never know which famous personality might be on board and sharing with you the same vessel. To my surprise, I had an opportunity to travel with the former US President, President Jimmy Carter, he was cruising with his family Florida to Mexico Cruise with us on the Royal Caribbean Internationals Grandeur of the Seas. Later after the Grandeur I joined another major Cruise Liner, Holland America Line. With Holland America Line I did over 2 years as a Photo Manager who was managing ships photography and video creation business. Travelling with over 140 nationalities and cultures, most importantly what I notably learnt was three things SERVICE SERVICE AND SERVICE. It was an experience travelling the Globe aboard Holland America ships MS Ryndam, Ms Oosterdam, Ms Maasdam and Ms Prinsedam. Prinsendam is one of Holland America’s smallest Cruise Ship with over 700 guest and 500 plus crew, it is always at a new itinerary throughout the year, passing through smaller canals and rivers. It’s a World Voyager. Though cruising is a very crowded market in the US & Canada, but its charm is still afresh. Happy to answer your queries. HAPPY CRUISING!
