We are currently recruiting for: Job Title: Manual Machinist (Cypress, TX) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: •Properly operate manual mills & lathes to manufacture items based on specific instruction to meet requirements •Set-up and operate manual mills and lathes for manufacturing •Follow written and oral instructions in the manufacturing of metal parts, fixtures, tooling and repair parts as specified by our customers •Plan machining based on studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials and specifications •Maintain part specifications by performing: • drilling, grooving and cutting • turning, facing and thread chasing operations • taking measurements • adjusting, sharpening and replacing worn tools • adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes •Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations •Work overtime when required • Perform other related duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: •Must have knowledge in use of precision measuring tools including but not limited to: micrometers (ID, OD and depth), indicators, calipers, etc. •Excellent trouble-shooting/problem-solving skills •Experience working with Exotic Metals •Previous experience in job shop environment •5+ years experience as a MANUAL machinist a MUST • Ability to properly use hand held power tools • Must be driven with a sense of personal responsibility and accountability • Ability to speak, write, and read English • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs • Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, reach and stand for long periods of time • Must possess strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity CS&P Technologies offers a competitive pay and benefit package (Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Holiday Pay, Vacation, Supplemental Insurance, Employee Assistance Program and 401K).
