CSHs Marriage and Family Therapy Department is pleased to announce the formation of group therapy services for parents/family members affected by ASD and Related Disorders! We understand the grief, depression, anxiety and other family stressors that occur over the life cycle in caring for a special needs child. We understand how overwhelming that can be day to day, with an exhausting schedule, feeling like there is no time to spend on yourself and your own needs sometimes, or maybe even feeling like there is little support from outsiders. You dont have to push aside your own needs anymore! We are here to help support you. Our Group therapy is a counseling service that is led by professionals in the Autism Spectrum and Marriage and Family therapy fields. Unlike a support group led by volunteers, usually other parents, we specially cater to your emotional needs from a clinically professional level and give you professional services to assist you with handling your life stressors and any related emotional distress, while also providing the feel of a supportive group environment. Share together, cry together, problem solve together, learn from therapists and each other.....laugh and grow together....this is group therapy! Group will be formed once we have at least 5 participants enrolled, with availability up to 15 participants.
