CSO Wants Chief Justice Before Kabimba Tribunal Zambian Voice Executive Director Chilufya Tayali has said acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda should be compelled to testify in the judge Evans Hamaundu led tribunal. Tayali said the tribunal’s work would be incomplete without Chibesakunda and Ministry of Justice Public Relations officer Terry Musonda testifying. He said Chibesakunda should tell the nation what she did with the legal opinion copied to her by Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba. Tayali said Musonda who had issued a statement based on the legal opinion should also take a stand in the dock. “The tribunal would be incomplete without acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda giving an account of what she did when the letter was copied to her. She is directly linked with this matter and must testify in order to have a complete picture,” he said. “What did she do with the legal opinion that was copied to her?” Kabimba is being probed for alleged breach of secrecy of oath after he used a legal opinion given to him by the Solicitor General for Patriotic Front business. The tribunal resumes sitting today.
