CSR: Pan Ocean Donates Health Centre to host community OLOGBO – Pan Ocean Oil Corporation Ltd, an operator in the oil and gas industry, has built and equipped an ultra-modern Health Centre with modern facilities and donated to Imasabor community in Ologbo Dukedom in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area, Edo State. This is the second health centre that Pan Ocean has built as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects in Ologbo, which is one of its host communities in Edo State. Commissioning the health centre at Imasabor community, Edo State Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Lucky James lauded Pan Ocean for providing and equipping the health centre with modern facilities which he noted would enhance medical services in Ologbo and its neighbouring communities. While advising the benefiting community to protect it from being vandalised, as the gesture of the oil and gas company was in line with the policies and programmes of the State government, he urged the operator to build perimeter fencing around the health centre with residential quarters for the medical personnel that the local government would post to work in the health centre. In his remark, the Assistant General Manager, Special Duties and Operations of Pan Ocean Oil Corporation Ltd, Mr. Emmanuel Omo Irabor said, “the Health Centre is one of the many other projects that the operator would provide for Ologbo community, especially as it has been a peaceful host community and its age-long relationship with the company has been very cordial”. The Community Relations Manager of the company, Mr. Olabanji Ajijola thanked the representative of the Oba of Benin, community leaders, women and youths of Ologbo as well as other dignitaries for their presence. Secretary of the Community Relations Committee, Deacon Friday Osazuwa thanked Pan Ocean Oil Corporation for the kind gesture, stressing that it would make Ologbo Dukedom stand out as a role model for other communities to emulate.
