CSRP would like to congratulate our very own Rick Eddy for the following appointment. =========== As of September 1, U.S Soccers technical staff will be led by Rick Eddy in the new position of Director of Referee Development. Rick will oversee a team currently comprised of Sandy Hunt, Craig Lowery, Herb Silva, Alfred Kleinaitis, Jonathan Meersman, and Ed Marco. In his position, Rick will oversee all technical aspects of U.S. Soccer\s Referee Program. Contact information for these individuals will be provided in next months Department Update. Rick is a National Instructor and National Assessor who spent 10 years as a Professional Assistant Referee in the MLS who has also worked as an Assistant Referee coach with PRO. Sandy is a retired FIFA official who has worked multiple Women\s World Cups and was one of the first female officials to work in the MLS. Additionally, she is a National Assessor and National Instructor. Craig is presently a Professional Assistant Referee with PRO who has been working MLS matches since 1997. Craig is a retired FIFA Assistant Referee, and is also a National Instructor. You are all familiar with Herb, the longtime U.S. Soccer Director of Referee Identification and Training. Herb was a U.S. Soccer National Referee who worked in the NASL and was one of the first fulltime Referees in the MISL. Alfred is a longtime National Assessor and national Instructor, and U.S. Soccer\s resident expert on the Laws of the Game. Jonathan is a National Instructor and serves as U.S Youth Soccer\s Region II Referee Administrator. Ed is National Instructor and National Assessor who provides specialized support for futsal programming.
