CT Public School wins 2nd Sardarni Manjit Kaur Memorial Cricket Tournament · Shivalik Model Senior Secondary School, Nangal won the runners-up trophy of the tournament · The top two winners were felicitated with the prizes of worth Rs. 31,000 and Rs. 21,000 respectively. CT Public School won the Champions trophy of the four days 2nd Sardarni Manjit Kaur Memorial Cricket Tournament organized by CT Public School at the Shahpur Campus of CT Group of Institutions. The runners-up trophy was won by Shivalik Model Senior Secondary School, Nangal. The first match of the tournament was played by Visually Impaired students. The trophy of Man of the Series was won by Mr. Damandeep Singh, Man of the Match and Best Batsman by Mr. Jasvir Singh, Best Bowler by Rishin Sharma and Best Wicket-Keeper by Manthan from the winning CT Public School team. The umpires for the final match were Mr. Anurag Bhardwaj and Mr. Surinder Kumar. The Commentator was Mr. Chetan Sondhi and Official Scorer was Mr. Harry Barwal. The final match of the tournament was played between CT Public School and Shivalik Model Senior Secondary School, Nangal. CT Public School won the toss and choose to bat first. The team scored 202 runs in 20 overs while opponent team Shivalik Model Senior Secondary School, Nangal could not beat the total and loose the match by scoring only 77 runs. The top scorer of the match includes Jasvir from CT Public School team, he scored 111(Not Out) runs. The Chief Guest of the closing ceremony was Sh. Pawan Kumar Tinu (Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sports), S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions), Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi (Co-Chairperson, CT Group of Institutions), Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions), Mrs. Tanika Channi and Mr. Harpreet Singh (Vice-Chairman, CT Group of Institutions). The dignitaries felicitated the winners, best performers in different aspects and runners-up team of the tournament. The closing ceremony had March past by the participating team, Salutation, final events & Medal ceremony followed by speech by the Chief Guests of the event. Sh. Pawan Kumar Tinu (Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sports) said that stressed on the importance of games and sports activities in our life. He also congratulated the players for their remarkable attempts. He said, “It was a successful and memorable event for the students.” S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) congratulated the winners and performers of the tournament. He also thanked Sh. Pawan Kumar Tinu (Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sports) for his enlightening presence at the event.
