CTA Fremont News ---------------- Dear CTA Fremont Parents, Vanakkam. Welcome back to CTA Fremont – your Tamil school, for the new school year. As you all know, our School starts on Sept 8th – Sunday for this academic school year. Book Distribution on Sept 7th Saturday: We are all getting ready to start the school with all your support as always. To avoid the first day confusions, we will be distributing the Books and Bags on Sept 7th – Saturday itself. Please plan to come and collect your books for your children on Saturday itself. Inform your friends also. Date : Sept 7th – Saturday Time : 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Place : Court Yard, Irvington High School Evaluation Test on Sept 7th Saturday: Also we are planning to have the Evaluation tests for new students on Sept 7th. This will help them to attend the classes from first day of school. We will have the HSCP level 1 skipping test also at this same time. Please refer the website for age and other skill set requirements. Date : Sept 7th – Saturday Time : 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Place : Room # 104, Irvington High School Teacher Orientation and Distribution of teaching material: We will be having an orientation program for all teachers on Sept 7th and during this program we will be distributing the teacher bags. All teachers are requested to come, attend and collect the materials so that they can prepare and come to the first day of the school well prepared. Date : Sept 7th – Saturday Time : 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Place : Room # 104, Irvington High School We are working on the teacher class assignments. We are waiting for our parents to complete registrations. We will be sending an email soon to the individual teachers about their class assignments. HSCP (High School Credit Program): Please make use of our FUSD approved foreign language classes being offered by CTA Fremont. Please inform about this great opportunity to all your friends. Students studying in Junior High School and in High School can make use of these classes. Those who are totally new to our Language can join in Level 1 of the Tamil class. There is a way to skip level 1 and go to level 2 also after writing an evaluation test if the student meets some criteria. Please refer our website for details. You may also contact our new HSCP officer Asokan for any clarifications. Volunteer: As you all know our school is fully supported by our own parents by involving as Teachers and taking up other tasks as required. While registering your kid, you might have already indicated your interest. We will get in touch with you soon and make use of your services.
