CTC CHAIRMAN CHARGES MUSLIMS TO PRAY FOR PEACE The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Obio/Akpor local Government Council Dr. Lawrence Chukwu has enjoined muslim Imams in the area to continue to pray for unity, peace, and stability in the country, especially during this Ramadam fast. Dr. Chukwu made the remark recently when Imams in the area paid him a visit in his office at the Council Headquarters Rumuodomaya. He urged them to keep on supporting Obio/Akpor Local Government, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi developmental strides in the State and All Progressive Congress (APC). He described Governor Chibuike Amaechi as a true Nationalist who has the people at heart no matter the religion, creed as demonstrated in the appointment of other Nigerians into key Government position in the State. Speaking earlier, the leader of Muslim Community in Obio/Akpor Shekhi Alh, Imam Abdul Gafar Alani Salau-Deean thanked the Chairman for the honour accorded them, saying that the visit was to familiarize the Imams with the Council especially during this Ramadam fast, noting that the Muslim Community in Obio/Akpor will next week Monday which is Eid el Kabir and Eid el Fitri, pray for the peace of the nation in the Council premises. In his vote of thanks, the Council Secretary Dike Darlington thanked the Imams for the visit and prayed God to grant them journey mercies.
