The 4th International CTE 2013 Environmental Protection Exhibition is going to take place between the 20th and 22nd November at the Baku Expo Centre with the support and involvement of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan. This is a key event in the sphere of ecology and the protection of the environment in the Caspian and Caucasus regions, which presents a combination of innovative developments in environmental protection and environmental management. This year, the exhibition has already received the support of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action). The organisers of the exhibition are Iteca Caspian and their partners ITE Group Plc from the United Kingdom. The official security partner for all exhibitions organised by Iteca Caspian this year is SafeLife, the official hotel providers are Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel and Qafqaz Point Hotel and the official tour operator is Greenwich Travel Club. The purpose of the exhibition is the promotion and introduction of innovative environmental equipment and technologies to Azerbaijan, which will help to ensure the protection of natural resources and improve the quality of life of the population. This year, CTE will host 60 companies from Azerbaijan, Germany, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, Turkey, UAE, Russia and other countries. Among the exhibitors will be the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, which will make their traditional reports on the results of their work over the past year. Also present will be Temiz Shekher OJSC, Azersu JSC, the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources, State Aerogeodesic Enterprise, the Baku Cartographic Factory, the Research and Production Centre of State Monitoring of the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Surveying and Planning Institute and other institutions. Ecological projects dedicated to mitigating the effects of many years of exploitation of the oil and gas deposits of Azerbaijan will be presented by leading oil companies such as SOCAR, BP and Saipem. The exhibition will demonstrate the newest developments in the sphere of the effective exploitation of natural resources and modern examples of alternative energy generation equipment, attracting the attention of millions of people to issues related to the protection of the environment and finding solutions for them. The exhibition will place a particular emphasis on water purification for use as drinking water and agricultural purposes and on systems for the collection and disposal of solid waste. A broad range of equipment for ecological analysis will be presented - various measurement devices, detectors of harmful substances in water, soil and air, laboratory equipment, instruments for analytical work and many others. New exhibitors that specialise in waste management will share their experience in the planning construction and use of waste disposal grounds where the most current technologies for the storage of environmentally hazardous waste are being used. The effectiveness of these technologies is so great that organic waste treatment can be guaranteed 99.99 %. Another new development at the exhibition will be the presentation of safe solutions for the protection of the environment which are based on hydroisolation using thermoplastic polyolefin geomembranes, which are necessary for the construction of hydrotechnological facilities, mining, sewer system installation, agricultural irrigation system, tunnels, the construction of roadways and railroads. In this way, CTE 2013 will encourage the growth of international cooperation on environmental issues with regional and international government organisations, an increase in the volume of investment, the application of current experience to the sphere of environmental protection and the introduction of alternative energy sources.
