CULTURAL COMPETENCE TRAINING WORKSHOP Multicultural Council of the NT The MCNT is hosting an all-day Cultural Competence Training Workshop on Friday 1st November 2013. It’s on from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at the MCNT Community Room, and is facilitated by Lina Paselli from COTA NT (see the attached flyer and registration form). The workshop will explore the principles and practice of cultural competence with the emphasis on developing skills and knowledge and creating awareness for interacting with recent arrivals to Darwin and providing culturally appropriate and responsive services. Interested professionals working with recently-arrived migrant and refugee families and communities are invited to register. If you know of people in your networks and workplace who would like to attend this workshop, please let them know about it. The cost is only $10.00 (including lunch). To register, please complete and return the accompanying registration form to the MCNT by Friday 25th October 2013.
