CUREFEST - What a weekend! On Friday morning, we heard Dr Francis Collins head of NIH speak in the Congressional Auditorium; on Friday afternoon we went to the WH to hear Harold Varmus from NCI speak. On Saturday morning we had the opportunity for a WH tour and on Saturday afternoon we attended an awesome opening event at the Nationals Stadium, the event was SOLD OUT! On Sunday morning CureFest opened with a roar on a beautiful Sunday morning. Please tell Congress funding childhood cancer research must be a NATIONAL PRIORITY! If you are local to DC, please visit Facebook pages of local TV stations and tweet them asking why there was no coverage of this event which included families from CA, Oregon, Washington State, AZ, Texas, IN, OH, FL, NC, SC, GA, VA, MD, TN and oh so many more. Why do kids get no attention?
