CURFEW LIFTED: COMMUNITY PEACE IN MANDALAY ---------------------------------------------------------- Mandalay district administration department announced that curfew, enforced in early July in its seven townships due to communal violence, has been lifted yesterday. According to the department, the martial law was applied to restore community peace and to ensure rule of law in the district and it had been eased step-by-step. Total lifting of the law was effective as of 6 pm, yesterday.
