CUT Student Mentorship Program Rocks! Nothing is as fulfilling as the opportunity to share ones Leadership Point of View with our young leaders. The Central University of Technology runs one of the best mentorship program. This weekend they took about 50 first year students to a boot camp of some sort where they were skilled amongst others with emotional intelligence initiative which I facilitated. They got a chance to be taken out of their comfort zone, for example, they took their cell phones aways for the weekend so that they could focus. Can you imagine a 20 years old without a phone for an extended period. That on its own is transformational. Try putting away your phone for a day and see your reaction. It was challenging at the beginning for some but they got into the grove as the day progressed. The spark in their eyes, and the way they engaged and shared their leadership point of views was so empowering. I learned so much from their life stories. I so wish that most young people can go to weekend seminars and empower themselves. These young people are going to rule the world. Watch the space. Thumbs up to you all for the great work.
