CUTTING YOUR FJORDS MANE: Hi, My Mum and I each have a Fjord. My Fjord (Merry) has a long mane and forelock, whereas Mums Fjord (Heidi aka Diddy) has a trimmed mane and forelock, from when we purchased her a couple of weeks ago. Mum would like to trim Diddys mane, but I think it will be a heck of a task and take a long time. Can anyone shed some light on this subject please? The You Tube videos make it look very daunting! Is it something that once you started, you wish you never had? How long do their mane and forelocks grow; do they get to a certain length and seem to stop, or do they just keep growing and growing. I have two native ponies, and ones mane and forelock never seems to grow and the others goes on forever, so I just wondered what a Fjords did? TIA :)
