****CYCLE TO AMSTERDAM!**** My name is Ani, I work at a charity called TEACH - Time to Empower Africas Children. Were looking at putting together a cycle from Manchester to Amsterdam to take place in June next year. Were organising the trip with Sports Tours International, who as you may know are heavily involved in organising next years Tour De France. The trip is a 3 day cycle, leaving from Manchester, with a Ferry crossing in Hull and then over to Zeebruge, Brielle, and finally arriving in Amsterdam. The mileage works out at about 120/80/70 miles across the 3 days, although there is an option for a shorter route on the first day, but a much harder leg, going through the Peak District instead of via Hebden Bridge. The total cost of the trip is £999 + £150 deposit, this works out as £500 towards costs, and £499 of fundraising that goes to support TEACH projects in Tanzania and Ghana. The team leader will have a discounted fundraising total, as such they will need to raise £500 + £150 deposit. We are currently looking to recruit a team leader and a team of 20 for this trip, and wed love to get UOM Cycling Club involved. In order that the team can make the most of their trip, we have put together a package that doesnt include a return flight, this means that once you are in Europe you can continue cycling, or the support team can bring your bikes back to Manchester to be kept in their secure lock-up until your return to Manchester, whilst you go travelling.
