CYEN members appointed Regional Climate Ambassadors COY 10 for the Caribbean SIDS region Congratulations Alexandra Pierre of Haiti and Waynelle Collymore-Taylor of Barbados. On 28, 29 and November 30 will be held in Lima, Peru Tenth World Youth Conference on Climate Change (COY10, Conference of Youth), in order to strengthen the global youth climate movement and commit to the following generations in the development of action on climate change within the framework of international cooperation. The main purpose of this space is to establish an information, coordination and organization of the worlds youth to build a Youth Climate Agenda to the COP20 and cop21. For this reason, the Promoter Group of 10 COY has appointed two young leaders who will assume the role of Regional Climate Ambassadors (RCA), who fulfilled the role of being official spokesmen and representatives of 10 COY in his country and facilitate the dissemination and promotion of COY10 in their region through their networks at national and international level. Facilitate contact networks at national and international levels to achieve the objectives of the COY10. Organize and articulate COY10 articipants already registered for the preparation of the Regional Youth Declaration on Climate Change and the preparation of the Regional Climate Agenda Towards to 2015 and COY11. Promoting participatory consultation processes and involvement of youth in their region to enhance its influence in decision-making on climate change at the local and regional level. In this sense, considering the importance of the participation of youth in COY 10, Alexandra and Waynelle have been designated as the Regional Climate Ambassadors COY 10 for their corresponding region. Therefore, you are requested to provide all possible support to enable them to successfully perform the work that has been entrusted to them.
