CYPRUS: This is Princess. This is where she lives. Apparently calling a dog Princess and making her live in that dump hole is fine. This is not how she is supposed to live and definitely I would not want to see her die there. She is a lovely dog and would have had a chance to get out of there if… there is small if… she was blood tested and diagnosed with leishmania. Unfortunately due to blind fear a lot of people have, dogs with leishmania barely get any help. I have fostered dog with leishmania, its not anything super difficult. As long as their results show that no organs were damaged they will live long and happy life having one pill per day to keep parasite in inactive state. People and dogs can not get infected from other dog. The only way one can get leishmania is if person or a dog get bitten by specific fly. In Cyprus there are no flies that can transmit it to people. So it is absolutely safe to foster this girl. We provide with medicine and special collars for dogs with leishmania to keep them protected not only from tics and fleas, but all sorts of biting insects. Since Princess would need to take medications for 28 days she can not go to the kennels, she needs foster home. It is clear as a blue sky…. Let me tell you what is going to happen if she doesnt get foster home… same that happened to our lovely sweet girl Mila. No dog deserves to go through that pain. Please keep your minds and hearts open to the dogs who are in greater need. Right now we have great chances to safe Princess life, its not too late, but she needs to go to foster home. I hope that we as a society will not allow one more sweetheart , who has been neglected by horrible person, to end her life in pain, forgotten and neglected by everyone because of her disease...
