Cable TV- update: I wondered what would happen when I wanted to - TopicsExpress

Cable TV- update: I wondered what would happen when I wanted to watch some sports. Today I wanted to watch the World Cup games that were on television. Both games were on ESPN. Since I dumped cable TV, I no longer have access to their sports programming. I also no longer have access to ESPN3, their internet streaming service. So I did some research and discovered that there are many legitimate ways of streaming World Cup soccer. The problem is that many of these outside the USA services use geo lock-out technology to deny foreigners service. There are ways to mask your geographical location (IP address) or even create bogus IP address for the country of your choice, but I like to play by the rules. I discovered that Univision was allowing its stream of the games to be accessed world-wide...in Spanish. So thats what I did. I found listening to the game with Spanish commentators was refreshing. I was entertained by the famous G-o-a-l-l-l-l!!!!!!!!!! Guy. Plus, I felt like was picking up some Spanish words. So, this was a great test of content accessibility.
