Cagayan State University is sponsoring the 1st Regional Economic Conference by the Philippine Economic Society(PES) on August 1, Friday at the CICS Conference Hall CSU Cagayan State University_Carig Campus. The conference will bring together researchers, economic educators, government leaders, faculty members, and students in the region. It will will be highlighted by plenary talks of economists and policy makers about the K-12 curriculum and the teaching of economics, CHED standards on economics education, Philippine health care policy, the Philippine Development Plan and Regional economic development. Congressman Roman Romulo, Chair of the Higher and Technical Education of the Philippine House of Representatives, 16th Congress will be the Keynote Speaker. Secretary Manny Mamba, Head, Presidential Legislative Liaison Office, will also deliver a message in the morning. Others speakers like Dr. Jose V. Camacho, Dean of UPLB Graduate School, Prof. Amelia L. Bello, Associate Professor of Economics of UPLB and Dr. Stella Luz A. Quimbo, President, Philippine Economic Society and Chair of the Department of Economics of UP School of Economics will be delivering lectures during the conference. We should not miss this!
