Caju. For those of you confused about Coal or Cole or Coole (as the twinkies want it spelled) or Colton as Big Fluffy Dog Rescue calls him, he is our foster from BFDR. Mom was worried about adopting a dog without doing a test with Haifa and the twinks first so she had been following BFDR for a while (they are EXTREMELY funny, by the way, highly recommend a look-see). She talked to them about one dog named Hogan but he was a barker and one of the twinkies dont like barkers. The idea was a 2-5 year old dog, preferably a lab or lab mix, and already house and leash trained. What happened: Colton. He was supposed to be 2-3 years old. He is not a day over 1 year. He is too skinny (like no lab my mom has ever been owned by) and needs to pack on some pounds, is ehrlichia-positive, untrained on a leash but so far has not messed in the house. He loves his crate. Haifa likes him okay though he got a grrrrr this morning when he tried to greet mom before she did. He is doing well with the twinkies, especially the one who loved me most. He doesnt seem to like a ball (what???) but its early days yet, hates squirrels like every person from Tennessee apparently, and is a quiet soul. Well see but Im betting on him. Hes so not me. And that is what mom might need right now. xoxo Caju
