Calendar Deadline extended until May 25, 2014.... Your ABCR Alumni or Foster can be a Rock Star in our 2015 Calendar. From now until until May 25 (1 weeks) we will accept submittal of photos to be used in the All Border Collie Rescue 2015 Calendar. Perfect timing for Wildflower or Easter pictures! The criteria for photograph submittals are as follows: • The primary subject of the photo should be a dog who is/was an ABCR foster or alumni. Multiple entries of the same dog are acceptable. No more than 10 entries per person. • You must be the photographer OR outright own the photo OR be able to obtain permission (copyright) to use the photo for the purpose of our calendar. Photographs that have an embedded copyright notice or watermark will not be considered. In any case, your submittal implies that you own the rights to this photograph and are giving us permission to use this photograph in the creation of the calendar. ABCR will also have full license to alter the photograph for use in the calendar. Alterations may include but are not limited to cropping and color correction. • The photograph should be high resolution and in focus. Photos can be color, monochromatic, or photoshopped. The “file name” of each photograph should include your last name and the dog’s name and should be in .JPG format. (i.e. Smith_Rover.JPG). Multiple entries of the same dog should be distinguished by numbering each picture (i.e. . Smith_Rover1.JPG, Smith_Rover2.JPG, etc.) • All submittals should include your name, address, daytime phone number, email address, and if the dog is an alumni, his/her ABCR name (if you remember it). • You may re-submit photos that were sent in for past years calendars. We had a great group of submittals to pick from last year and there were plenty of worthy photos that were not used. That being said, we will not consider a photograph pictured on the cover or representing the month in any previous ABCR Calendar. We will be selecting photographs based on subject matter, composition, lighting, and color contrast. We want stills as well as action shots (including photographs of our dogs herding, doing agility, flyball, or obedience). We have seen a lot of great photos from the ABCR community over the last few years and so we hope to get plenty of quality submittals. We have so many expressive little faces out there waiting to be published! A selection committee will determine which photos will be used in the Calendar.
