Calhoun County Animal Control Center While I try extremely hard - TopicsExpress

Calhoun County Animal Control Center While I try extremely hard every day to remain professional in every situation that comes my way here at CCACC, there are moments that get to me. This morning I had one of those moments. The picture in this posting is what greeted me as I arrived at the gate this morning. A small black and tan shepherd mix had been left in wire kennel at the gate. This sweet boy had been just left in a crate at our gate, no food nor water had been given to him. I do not know exactly how long he had been left there, however it was long enough that the poor little fellow had to poop in his crate. Obviously at one point someone had loved him enough to have some vetting done, he is about 3 years old and is neutered; he is a little thin, but overall in good shape. While finding him left like that bothered me, whoever dumped him should have had the courage to bring him in during business hours, what really got me, was that after being dumped by someone, sitting in the drizzle for at least a couple hours, in a crate, with no food, no water, he still greeted me, a complete stranger with a thump of his tail and that cute doggy grin, you know the one, it gets you every time...
