Owner Steve Coburn, ...its a cowards way to win. referring to how unfair it is to the horses who had to race constantly to have enough points to even qualify to race in the Kentucky Derby. The horse that won todays Belmont Stales diid not even have enough points to race in the Kentucky Derby. Steve Coburn feels that you should have to qualify equally and race all the way up to the Belmont. If not, you should NOT be allowed to race. Its all or nothing! Coming in at the last race without doing the work is a cowards way out!
