Call for Art: WARM All Member Show WARM SMALL WORKS May 17th to June 14th, 2014 at Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts 6666 East River Road Fridley, MN 55432 Deadline for entries: Wednesday, March 19, 2014 A call for entries to all WARM Member Artists… This spring WARM invites all members to submit their artwork for our Annual Member Exhibit to be held at the Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts in Fridley, Minnesota. All member-artists with current memberships are eligible to submit work. This is an open exhibit and each artist will have the opportunity to show one piece of work. Banfill-Locke is an exciting, quaint, historical venue where our work will be shown to advantage. We hope you will participate in this opportunity in which the larger community gets to see and share all that WARM has to offer. Please carefully follow guidelines and criteria for submission and participation. Our membership is now quite large and we will not be able to accommodate submissions that do not meet the specified criteria. WARM Member Show Exhibition Calendar Artist Notification: Tuesday, April 15, 2014 Exhibit opens: Saturday, May 17, 2014 Opening Reception: Saturday, May 17, 2 PM to 5 PM WARM Conversations: Saturday, June 14, Time TBA Exhibit closes: Saturday, June 14 Art Pick up: Saturday, June 14, 2 PM – 4 PM Submission Materials Required: Artworks for this small works exhibit should not exceed 20 inches in any dimension. Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works are acceptable. Membership Dues: Your membership must be current for you to submit images for the exhibit. Please check the status of your membership at thewarm.org/meet-the-artists/ and pay your membership fee at thewarm.org/join-warm/ prior to submitting your work. Your work will not be considered unless your membership is current. There is a $20 entry fee for this exhibit (total – not per image). All entry fees must be submitted via PayPal at thewarm.org. Images: Submit 1 to 2 jpeg images of your artwork. Specifically: in jpeg format, at 72 dpi/ppi (pixels per inch), and a maximum length of 1920 pixels on the longest side. Send jpeg(s) via email attachment to [email protected]. Images must be labeled with last name and first initial and numbered corresponding to the information you fill out in the entry form for artwork 1. (example: doej1.jpg, detail images labeled doej1detail.jpg). Specifically: • File format: JPEG only • File dimensions: No larger than 1920 pixels on the longest side. • File resolution: 72 ppi/dpi (standard web resolution) Artist statement: Please bring your hard-copy statement for inclusion in the exhibition portfolio binder. We request not more than 250 words, on 8 ½ “ by 11” white paper. Statements can accompany work at the time of art drop off and should not be sent to WARM directly via email or post. Artist’s Responsibilities (*Agreement to this is required on the form) Work must remain on view for the duration of the show. Banfill-Locke insures the work while on display but no insurance is provided for transport of the work. Artwork must be ready to hang with appropriate hardware on the back. No exceptions. To complete your entry please: Be a current member of WARM. To update your membership go to thewarm.org/join-warm/. Pay the $20 entry fee online with credit card via PayPal at thewarm.org/contribute.
