Call for Group Dance Performances: The 4th International Kuchipudi Dance Convention is a platform to showcase the Kuchipudi dance talent from all over the world. SiliconAndhra invites entries to present group performances during the first two days of the convention in the evenings. Please take note of the following guidelines while you submit your entries. - All dance presentations are requested and required to use ONLY LIVE ORCHESTRA - Each selected group would receive a honorarium of Rs.10,000 towards expenses - Each group should have a minimum of 15 members - The duration of the performing item MUST be not more than 15 minutes including introduction. - The time limit would be enforced VERY Strictly to have equal opportunity to all groups - Twenty groups would be selected from the entries received - Ten groups would perform on each day i.e. Dec 26 and 27, 2014 - Preference would be given for new and innovative concepts - Also preference would be given for the groups that have not performed in the previous conventions - The order of the performance on each day would be selected by lottery - The entry should provide information about the name of the Guru, name of the item, the description and specialty of the item, the exact duration of the item, the number of dancers etc. - If your group is selected, then you will be requested to submit the Video/Audio recording of the item to be presented, the names of the dancers, the names of the orchestra members and complete details by November 1, 2014. - Selected groups could avail Railway concession subject to distance. - All performers should register for the convention - Entries should be sent to [email protected] - The last date to submit entries is September 15, 2014
