Call for entries Visual artists are invited to submit up to three artworks or concepts. The work should refer explicitly to the term tenderness and include significant pictorial material as well as a short descriptive text. It is open for artists of any field of the visual arts including those working at the interface between other genres or science. There is no age limit and students are particularly welcome to apply. After close examination those works with an interesting approach to the topic tenderness and/or a relevant research approach will be included in the encyclopedia On Tenderness and thereby part of a scientific and artistic publication. In addition to the publication 15 of the most convincing works will be selected for the exhibition On Tenderness taking place in Berlin by the end of 2014. Deadline for submissions is March 20 2014. Send submissions in digital form only , 3 MB max, to: Requirements: - signed submission form (available for download) - details about artistic career (biography) - documentation of work (not more than 3 images) including title, year of origin, material, dimensions and insurable value - a short description focussing on the given topic and the specific artistic approach - concepts: a visualization in detailed sketches and a precise description of the project By submitting the application the artist accepts that his submitted work or concept will be published as part of the dissertation On Tenderness with full reserve to his copyrights and the explicit designation thereof. The author reserves for herself the right for shortening and modification for the purpose of formal and textual demands. The submitting artist declares exclusive authorship of his/her work and any related pictures and is obliged to name and mark any additional authors. In case the artwork is selected for the exhibition On Tenderness, transport is the sole liability of the participating artist and at his/her expense. The organizer does not charge a commission in the case of artwork being sold during the exhibition. All artworks are insured for the duration of the exhibition.
