Description: Knowing how to organize events is a vital part of any NGO, no matter if it is small or big. The pressure to make the event perfect is bigger due to the social media that can make any mistake go viral and it can affect not only the institution’s image, but also the coordinator’s name and reputation. This training course aims to provide active members of European NGOs the information needed in order to organize any type of event. Moreover the course is designed to bring also a hands-on task of organizing an event on the island, to put into practice the knowledge acquired under the supervision of experienced trainers. Activities: the steps in organizing a successful event, tips and tricks, creativity in event planning, leadership, fundraising, organizing an event in Tenerife, meeting with the representatives of the Spanish NA Working language: English Partner Profile: • non-profit organizations from the Program Countries (Member states of the EU, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Liechtenstein, Turkey, Iceland, Norway) and from the South-Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia) • is new or has limited experience in organizing events • works with young people • able to send 3 participants that fit the profile bellow, gender balanced group Participants: • in decision making positions, project manager, director of organizations, EVS coordinator, youth worker, trainer or other position in an NGO that requires event organizing skills • open-minded • open to new challenges • able and willing to actively participated in all the planned activities • medium – high level of English Conditions: Accommodation, meals and activity costs will be financed 100% through the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Program. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to the Erasmus+ rules as presented below: Distance between 100 – 499 km: 180 Euros/participant Distance between 500 – 1999 km: 275 Euros/participant Distance between 2000 – 2999 km: 360 Euros/participant Distance between 3000 – 3999 km: 530 Euros/participant Distance between 4000 – 7999 km: 820 Euros/participant More than 8000 km: 1100 Euros/participant
