Call for proposals 2013 is witnessing the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Oslo Agreement, the so-called peace-process between Israel and the Palestinians in 1993. 20 years later there is yet no reason to celebrate: “Oslo” has not only failed in bringing a peaceful solution to the conflict, has not ended the Israeli occupation and has not facilitated the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state. But for many aspects the impact of “Oslo” and the failure of the negotiation-process have even worsened the situation for Palestinians on the ground. Since numerous books and studies have been produced over the last 20 years to discuss “Oslo”, RLS Ramallah Office will go for a different approach to critically mark the Oslo-anniversary by supporting a Political Art Project. RLS Ramallah Office invites Palestinian artists from different genres to submit proposals for a political art project (documentary, photo-exhibition, video art, interviews etc.) dealing with “Oslo” and its impact on Palestine and the Palestinians. The aim of the project is to provide spaces and tools for Palestinian reflections and demands regarding the impact of “Oslo” and post-Oslo realities. The added value of the project is to transport these reflections through social media and public events also to the international community. The project should be started and finalized in 2013. Guidelines for proposals: - Project idea including time line (1 page) - Project budget - CV/profile of artist/s Please submit your proposal not later than July 13, 2013 to [email protected].
