Call me a BASTARD if PDP loses in Kwara in 2015 and Don’t Call me Senator AGAIN, If Jonathan Loses in 2015” - Senator Ajadi In a very confident and emphatic statement, the Special Adviser on NationalAssembly Matters to President Goodluck Jonathan, Senator Makanjuola Ajadi, has said the adoption of President Goodluck Jonathan as the sole candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2015 presidential election, was the best thing to happen to Nigeria as a country. Senator Ajadi said this while speaking in an interview with reporters in Ilorin and declared no party could defeat the PDP in the state, saying Kwarans would vote immensely for President Jonathan. According to him, Saraki might be strong, and might have the structure to win any election, but there is nobody who can defeat PDP in 2015 election. Senator Ajadi said, “If it happens, do not call me Senator again”. President Goodluck Jonathan While speaking he questioned the political strength of APC in Kwara saying, “Who are the people remaining in Kwara APC?” The Senator, while explaining the approval of President Goodluck Jonathan by PDP as its sole candidate said, “the norms all over the world is that a sitting President has the first option of refusal, in fact other political parties should emulate PDP in the future”. Speaking further, he said the world over a serving president is always given the first option of refusal. Only when that Presidentrefuses, that an alternative would be considered. Acccording to Senator Ajadi, the choice of President Jonathan is one of the best things that has ever happened in the political development of Nigeria. Senator Ajadi said, “This is a lesson for all other political parties in Nigeria to emulate in future”.He said “If anybody is on seat and he is performing well and he is willing to go for second term, it should be automatic ticketas it happened to President Jonathan.
