Call me a dry cleaner if you may-but why should I practice water baptism or get water baptized which has NOTHING to do with our salvation today, before or after? Its pure ignorance that churches still practice the invalid sacrament. Paul, our apostle ordained by the Lord Himself made it clear in 1 Cor 1:17 that Christ sent him not to baptize but to preach the gospel-why? Because the gospel of reconciliation (1 Cor 15:1-4) that was revealed to Paul only (Galatians 1:11-12) contains no H2O. Its the completed work of the cross and the resurrection that justifies us today. Col 2:10 and YOU are COMPLETE in Christ, I mean-what is it about complete that YOU dont understand preachers? If the gospel justifies-then why get baptized? Why do they baptize? Because the denomination tells them to. You cant join their church unless you get baptized-HOW RIDICULOUS! The other answers also are: because Christ told us to get baptized its an outward expression of faith it washes sins away Its something I wanted to do blah blah blah...Where did Jesus tell the BOC to get water baptized through Paul? Where in Pauline doctrine is baptism an outward expression of faith? Where in the Bible does water baptism wash sins away? Why would you want to get baptized? Because you feel you needed to ? Where is that at? What a bunch of ridiculous traditional Man made concoctions spoken out of ignorance. This shows how ignorant the Body of Christ really is and they also will not progress into Pauline doctrine. Your water baptism was simply in vain, you can disagree all you want and comment negative and try to mix the scriptures but it will not change my mind. Water baptism also has caused so much confusion in the BOC as well. Paul tell us in 1 Cor 1 :10 that we all should speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you. Yet, how many times have you heard preachers give their own opinions and ideas on how to baptize? There are over 10.000 denominations and all are speaking something different-yet your going to compromise and follow your preacher rather than Paul. (1 Cor 11:1) I can assure you-many people in hell right now because they mostly placed their faith in the water baptism certificate. I might add, your testimony should be when did you get saved and trusted the gospel exclusively? When was there a time? Not a public baptism. I can baptize people all day long, but yet-you would truly not know if they were saved or not. Do you know the secrets of their heart belief? No, you only seen someone get wet.
