Call me naive if you would like, but Im extremely optimistic about my generation of 30somethings and those younger, and the change that we are going to assist in seeing happen. We are the first generation that has never really relied on CNN, ABC, CBS or FOX NEWS, for our news. We have not yet been contaminated by the major news networks into thinking everything is us vs. them or right vs. left. We tend to be more focused on individual causes or specific policy issues. Rest assured that there will be mistakes made and it will be messy at times, but I truly believe that the next ten to fifteen years will see a major shift in public policy. Please note that this is NOT meant to be a slam on those older, but simply pointing out the difference that social media will play in forming public opinion in the future. While we will certainly need the wisdom that comes along with age, please dont discount our ideas based solely on our age. Remember, we havent been contaminated by the mainstream media that you love to hate.
