Call your commissioner and ask them to vote NO on the historical designation for St Jude Church! Our Friends at St Jude Melkite Catholic Church need our help to combat widespread untrue rumors about what in reality is an unauthorized petition for Historic Designation for the parish by individuals who didn’t consult with them before filing. Rumors say a “Yes” will save the church, but that is not true. In fact, this designation, according to the parish, would be a financial and logistic nightmare that could also prove to be potentially catastrophic. In fact, it has already cost them a hefty amount to fight this, even with Pro Bono and very discounted generous attorneys on their side. St Jude won the first round, but this group appealed the decision and so they really need our help. Tomorrow Thursday July 25th 2013 there will be a hearing about the appeal. St Jude needs us to 1.
