Called into the old Whitstable parish church of All Saints this - TopicsExpress

Called into the old Whitstable parish church of All Saints this morning - most interesting... All the pews were removed in the 1980s making a very flexible and attractive space, and the Norman font is capped by a marvellous Tudor cover (has heraldic devices from reign of James I, so must be at least Stuart). The stairs in the tower are made of triangular blocks cut from big beams... All very attractive. This is the church where Somerset Maugham spent part of his childhood where his uncle was the vicar.
