Callie was found as a stray in the local area. Many people assume a stray cat would be underweight, sick or injured, but not our Callie! She actually needs to shed a few pounds but is otherwise in great shape. Shes super affectionate and fully domesticated. Sadly for Callie, she hadnt been microchipped. We think she came from a loving home but we have no way of reuniting her with an owner. Please wait and double check before you take a cat from the street thinking its abandoned and neglected. Cats can roam for large distances – it may be on its way home. If you see a cat that appears to be a stray, take a photo and poster the neighbourhood. The cat may live down the road but just happens to like your garden better! And lastly, please speak to somebody before dumping animals on a rescue’s doorstep. There are ways we can help: they may already be known to us or might be a feral cat, in which case well assess the size of a potential colony and keep numbers down by neutering. Thank you!
