Calling All Sailors to participate in the “Summer Sailstice” “Summer Sailstice” was founded in February 2001 as the global, annual celebration of sailing held on the summer solstice. summersailstice The LNCSA (Sailing Association) will be participating in this global event and is inviting all sailors to join in the fun. A one lap all fleet fun race will start at exactly NOON to kick off the start of summer. NOTE this means the race begins at noon so be rigged and on the lake ready to start before then. AND be prepared for a big “Bang” at the start as the original cannon that started the original sailing races over 50yrs ago will be used for this special occasion start. The regular fleet races normally scheduled for 12pm will begin immediately following the fun race with a normal horn sequence.
