Calling GTU Innovation Club Coordinators of Degree Engineering colleges: Let us join hands for the development of innovation frameworks for making final year projects more innovative Two-days hands-on WORKSHOP Date: 2nd-3rd august 2014 Time: 9.30 A.M to 5.30 P.M Venue: S4-C3 (Student Start-up Support System- Co-Creation Space),Ahmedabad Campus of Gujarat Technological University(GTU), ACPC Building, LDCE Complex, Navarangpura, Ahmedabad -380 015 BACKGROUND: The Councils of Deans have worked to create guidelines to ensure that students become more innovative while doing their final year projects. GTU Innovation Council, with the help of various experts, has designed a series of frameworks for systematic work on the final year project so that the projects can be better designed and be innovative. These framework based activities will involve ways for involving students through empathizing canvas, ideation canvas, product realisation canvas, prior art search canvas, Patent drafting exercising canvas, business model canvas, valuation and technology transfer canvas etc. We wish to integrate the above efforts in such a manner that every team will be able to develop in an interactive learning environment, with the guidance of Professors and external industry mentors. THIS WORKSHOP: We are going to have hands-on sessions on various frameworks which are required at the early stage of IDP/UDP so that students can become efficient problem solvers. These sessions will include the various process and heuristics on ideation, product realisation etc. After these 2 day of hands-on capacity building program, the Coordinators will be able to guide the the current final year students pursuing their IDP/UDP of their college so that they may be able to follow a systematic process for achieving excellent results by using their time and facilities more efficiently.
