Calling all FB friends . . . I NEED SOME HELP. Its a long story and, truthfully, the details are irrelevant (although Im willing to share with any who wants to know the nitty-gritty of it all, just in-box me.) I just learned of this new development in my Breast Cancer Treatment Plan. I NEED A PLACE(S) TO STAY IN SAN ANTONIO (or w/in a reasonable daily driving distance to it) for SIX (6) WEEKS BEGINNING ASAP (as early as 8/18/14) so that I can receive my recommended Radiation Treatment. TIMING IS CRUCIAL for a myriad of reasons. I am willing stay in various types of places for various lengths of time. Provided my health allows, I will, trade out my service(s) for the housing assistance - watch someones children? house-sitting? cleaning-house? Sew costumes? Teaching (Certified in English / Theatre / Debate / Journalism / Plus Law Degree) ? Cooking? Office work? Tell Jokes? Sing at karaoke? Retired staff of Barbizon College of Modeling. Can weld and castrate pigs. I am open to ideas and suggestions. I cannot afford to pay for the lodging because I am not working. I do have a transportation arranged. I am checking with a multitude of agencies, organizations, friends, lists, churches, breast cancer support groupts, et cetera, and anything that comes to mind, to see if I can hobble together enough lodging to cover the six weeks I need to be in San Antonio, but most of these options require time to get into them and I am very short on time. My treatments are monday-friday for about an hour a day. Its impossible to predict how they will affect me - many women do very well while others find it makes them quite ill. Overall, Im doing well. My attitude continues to be positive and Im over half-way through my chemotherapy treatments now. I even have some hair (albeit gray) poking itself out now! I promise to consider ANYTHING that anyone comes up with, as this is very important to me to get done and get started quickly so that I may try and finish my upcoming treatments and final surgeries by the end of my Health Benefit Year (12/31/14.) THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED INTEREST IN AND SUPPORT OF AND LOVE THATS GETTING ME THROUGH THIS HORRIBLE CANCER MESS. I love you all sooooo much!
