Calling all Reggae Radio DJs/Presenters (mainstream or community), our Song for Jamaica competition is the UKs biggest talent production for unsigned Reggae artists across the country. For 2013, we shall be sending the winner, Teejah Prayze, to Jamaica to perform at the Dennis Brown Tribute Concert for the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA) on February 23rd on the Waterfront in Kingston, Jamaica. Next year we shall be opening this up for a UK Reggae Radio DJ/Presenter and an artist to represent the UK in Jamaica for the JaRIA Reggae Month celebrations 2015. This will be launched at the Bob Marley celebrations with the Jamaican High Commission this Thursday. The first Song for Jamaica heat/auditions will be on Saturday 1st March at our Brent Media Centre, The Grange, Neasden Roundabout, NW10 1QB. Reggae Radio DJs/Presenters will be encouraged to recommend artists to represent their radio show or radio station. If your artist wins the overall Song For Jamaica competition in November this year, then you, the DJ/Presenter, will get to come to Jamaica with the artist you have promoted.
