Calling all Stitchers!!! The Womens Safety and Resource Center needs emergency kits for women escaping abuse. Most of the women leave everything behind and the kits have basic supplies to help them get cleaned up and presentable. Maria Teresa Neill makes wonderful cotton drawstring bags for the kits, but we need 100 bags. Instructions for making the bags are at the Electric Hospital website electrichospital/ under the Whats New tab. We have some supplies collected but here is what we still need: 100 Bags 75 packs disposable razors 80 packs sanitary pads or panty liners 60 packs tampons 35 bottles Shampoo 40 bottles conditioner 70 bottles body wash 50 bars soap 100 combs 25 small packs facial tissue 50 cans shave cream Hair ties and emery boards Bags and supplies may be dropped off at the Electric Hospital on the corner of Highway 101 south and Johnson or at the Coos Bay Visitor Center.
