Calling all gooseperts!! I came across this flock of geese in the Fairmont park at Milwaukee and Northview in Boise around 1:30 today. I was driving by and noticed a Greater-white fronted Goose in with the flock, I went back to get a phone picture for the report, and noticed there was something else going on here.I didnt have my binoculars or camera (my luck!!) I am thinking the smallest geese are probably Cacklers, but there were many geese that were a bit larger than the Cacklers, and smaller than the normal geese we get. The bill shape varied, some were more stubby than pointy. I am inexperienced with ID of Canada goose subspecies, but some of the geese look so different they may very well be, and I have more pictures for anyone who wants a challenge. Any input is appreciated, and I will note this on ebird. Thanks!!
