Calling all residents of Planet Earth… It’s Lights Out for the Reef - In 2014, we’re turning Earth Hour on its axis - Earth Hour Saturday 29 March – Elanora SS School Switch off Week: Week 9 Earth Hour is the single largest mass participation event of its kind in the world. And in 2014, Earth Hour will focus attention on one of the world’s most iconic places: Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is under threat from every angle. There will be a special television event on Channel 10 that will reveal what’s happening to the Great Barrier Reef due to climate change and more. The documentary will premiere prior to Earth Hour, Saturday 29th March. There’s a saying in Australiathat from little things, big things grow. Earth Hour started right here in Australia, with people like you doing the simple action of turning off your lights for an hour to show you care. It’s now spread to 7001 cities and 152 nations across the globe, inspiring literally billions of people. How will you celebrate Earth Hour in 2014?
