Calling all restaurant owners, small business supporters, suppliers,politicians,media and banking institutions. A few of us in Adams got together to see if we could get some buying power like chains do by contracting with one or two companies plus some farm to plate people, that idea spawned the high cost of electric, 2 months double, the fact that a liquor license is the same for a small town restaurant as it is for a NY City Night club, I personally have talked with many business owners and we are all in the same boat. United we stand to find a way to make a change to be a change. Imagine America, small town america without your small businesses. I for one Love my place, it is a passion and never was about money. Do you know the average restaurant with a mortgage may make 5 percent of sales? Fine dining even Lower. We need to stand up and make some noise. Can we give you the pricing on food a chain does, no. Why? We cant buy in the volume they do. I believe we can make a change, by standing together, working together and supporting one another. I for one feed a family of 8. I cant stress enough how changes have to be made.. I think I charge maybe 5 dollars more than my dad did for surf and turf in 1991, how much have cost risen? In the last year it has gone crazy, and it is not going to get better. Email me, call me, a few of us in Adams will facilitate this movement. We will make it the way you want it, we know your name, you are part of our lives, thats what small business is and I will stand by every neighbor and business in supporting their growth as well as my own.
