Calling help from my cat owner friends...I woke up this morning to a strange sound in my bed. As soon as I heard it, Skippy jumped down and ran out of the room. I thought I was just dreaming until I got up a few minutes later, and I realized the sound I heard was Skippy peeing on the bed. There was no behavioral reason for this, as we were both sleeping. Its not like I was lying there and not getting up to feed him. I know I will call the vet tomorrow (Monday morning) to take him in, as this is very unusual behavior for him. I googled cats peeing in bed, and of course, the #1 suggestion is to call the vet. Any other suggestions from my cat owners? I will also put a second litter box in my bathroom. I am hoping and praying that its nothing like kidney failure or something extreme like that. Please also send your prayers for something treatable. Thanks in advance.
