Calling the US use of force in Syria and Iraq an illegal, unconstitutional act that will only draw the United States further into the Middle East quagmire, Matt Funiciello said today if elected he would not vote to authorize continued intervention in the region. Funiciello pointed out the so-called Islamic State poses no threat to the United States, as corroborated by foreign policy experts, and that by President Obamas own admission use of force is unlikely to bring the conflict in Syria and Iraq to an end.
