Caltrans Operation in Willits Ca which includes ground clearing with bulldozers and other earth moving equipment along a half mile expanse of Broaddus Creek, a Salmon Spawning Creek, sends an unprecedented amount of sediment into the stream via run off ditches. The land clearing dirt work was just completed along this part of the planned bypass corridor south of the Shusters yard on Center Valley Road when this storm came in dropping a 1/4 inch of rain in 48 hours. One half mile upstream from where this video was taken, the stream ran clear.
